Awards
2006. We were very excited to have won the Premier Suffolk Exhibitor Award at the 2006 Maryland State Fair. The Premier Exhibitor for each breed is determined by the total points earned in the show ring.
A big thank you to Kelly Mansfield of Spring Breeze Farm, Kearneysville, WV, for her assistance in helping to train “Lefty”, and her assistance in the show ring.
2007. First lambs born were a set of triplet ewe lambs, born 1/18/2007. This dam produced triplet male lambs in 2006. One lamb (Vorac 0639) was the Grand Champion 4-H Market Lamb at the Garrett County Fair, raised and shown by 4-H’er Ethan Broadwater. Ethan’s photo with his 4-H Project Lamb is in the Photo section.
2009. Awards include: Champion Suffolk Ram – Washington County Fair; Supreme Champion Suffolk Ewe – Howard County Fair; Champion Suffolk Ram – Howard County Fair; Champion Suffolk Ram – Montgomery County Fair; Reserve Champion Suffolk Ewe – Washington County Fair.
2014. Frederick County Fair. Champion Suffolk Ewe, 1441 — and Reserve Champion Suffolk Ram 1446.
2015. MD Sheep & Wool Festival, Carcass Contest. Had the 1st, 3rd, and 4th place listing for loin eye measurement.
2015. Frederick County Fair. Had both the Champion and Reserve Champion Suffolk Rams.
2016. Top Index Suffolk Ram at the PA Livestock Evaluation Center Ram Sale, August, 2016.
2017. Top Index and high selling Suffolk Ram at the PA Livestock Ram & Buck Goat Sale, August, 2017.
2017. Champion and Reserve Champion Suffolk Rams at the Frederick County Fair. Both Rams were then sold.
